Site-seeing with Paul’s family

I haven’t posted for a while so I thought an update was in order.

Paul’s Mum and sister arrived on Friday and we have done lots of London touristing!

We went to the Tate Modern and had great fun on the slides and yummy food in the cafe… oh, we also looked at some world-famous modern art too. We went to Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre which was more interesting than I thought it would be.

When we got there, there were lots of Santas there but they left pretty soon after! You can see just high up some of the slides go in the distance of this photo!

Yesterday we went to the Victoria and Albert Museum, a trip on the London Eye – very cool – to the Spitalfields Markets and then to Covent Garden.

I think we’re going to the Tower of London today which should be cool.

More updates soon.

p.s. On Saturday night we had dinner with my friend Thomas and his partner and his brother and some other people. We had hungarian and the night was really good until they tried to tell us we hadn’t paid enough because we were 9 pounds short of their suggested 28 pound tip! Lots of restaurants here add on a 12.5% suggested gratuity. Which, most of the time, I don’t think they are anywhere near deserving because British service is appalling! Listen to me. God. Is it too much to expect a smile and some help?
