This charming exhibition illustrates the importance of needlework in girls’ education in an age before mass-produced clothes were widely available. Samplers by pupils from Edinburgh schools including Torphichen Street, George Heriot’s, Edinburgh Ladies College, Stockbridge Public School and John Watson’s Institution.
