Charles Darwin papers now available online

April 18, 2008

If you go check out the complete works of Charles Darwin online, you can now browse through copies of his personal papers as well. Cool.

I’m sitting at home by myself, listening to LCD Soundsystem (possibly too loud for the nosey old biddy downstairs), drinking red wine and eating a curry/dal thing I just made. I actually feel a bit pissed right now (it only takes a couple of glasses of wine these days). Paul is out with people from work – celebrating his new promotion. His gross pay is now more than double my gross pay! I suggested he could be supporting me to be an artist. He might just do that one day!

Snow in London and new flat and friends

April 13, 2008

Last Sunday it snowed in London. We woke up from our first night in our new flat to see it snowing outside onto our lovely terrace!

I'm an aunty, again!

April 7, 2008

My sister Jo had her third baby very early Monday morning (Australian time) and now has a little boy, Jesse Edwin. Jesse, who has two sisters, Annie and Lily, is the third grandson for my parents, and their ninth grandchild.

Mother and baby are both healthy and doing well.

Kew Gardens and Henry Moore

April 1, 2008

On Sunday Kingsley, Paul and I went to Kew Gardens and got to see the Henry Moore sculptures on their last day in the park. It was a lovely spring day, the flowers were out, and we took LOTS of photos!
